tara is an acclaimed hair designer and award winning salon owner who started her career in Calgary in early 1990'S.

throughout her 18 year career in the beauty industry, she has worked as a stylist. educator. stage artist and salon owner. tara works with all aspects of hair, believing that individuality and attention to detail are key in customizing styles. hair is an extension of ones personality and is expressed through their style. she embraces eclectic and original styles both in her work and her own sense of fashion.

she is regarded for her specialized touch with natural curls and textured hair as well as special occasion hair, and her expertise with bridal parties has taken her across Canada and as far as Mexico, Cuba, and Jamaica. when she is not behind the chair, she spends time working with on location photoshoots, creating and styling hair in avant garde manner, and costume design. her work has been featured in industry magazines and more recently, in bridal fashion magazine. tara is always challenging and re-inventing her craft as a hair designer and travels extensively throughout North America for continued advance training.

seeking a location for her new salon that aligned with her values of balance and quality of life, she left Calgary in 2008, and relocated to the heart of the foothills - Okotoks. her new space is modern contemporary with a simplistic elegance, offering guests a small boutique setting with a one on one feel to the atmosphere. while in the salon you are surrounded by unique and exclusive selection of product and accessories that consist of original, organic, locally exclusive and ethically made. Tara takes pride in hand picking each and every boutique item and showcases pieces that represent her ethical and sustainable business practice, as well her own sense of taste and fashion.

shea has been a hair artisan for 7 years, training and starting her career in calgary before relocating to Okotoks. she has been involved in the beauty and fashion world in a wide variety of capacities. she is a hair stylist, colorist and makeup artist.

her talent, passion, and knowledge in the exciting art of hair fashion is evidenced by her creative yet confident personality. her unique stance on creating a new look, in the sometimes self-serving world of personal beauty, is very youthful and refreshing.

shea is always eager to educate her clients about their hair choices and options, striving to give the best of herself so that each person she touches, leaves with straight forward information, sound advice and most importantly… the perfect look.

where her passion lies is in creating that "makeover" taking dull lifeless shapes and working with guests to bring hair into fashion forward, edgy and vibrant styles.

when she is not behind the chair, she spends her time working on weddings, creating entire bridal party looks best suited for their occassion. her wedding work can be seen in Wedding Bells magazine.
